Saw him often at Church and ,in years past ,travelled with him often to Halifax when I was a student- many years ago . Please accept our sincere sympathies .

Our condolences to the Marchand family. Leonard was a great neighbor (1978-1986) and a good friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Leonard's family during this difficult time. He was such a great neighbour but more than that he was such a great part of our lives for many years... great memories of visits when he lived on the high road and then moved to the lower road. Leonard was a great cook and loved to eat. Remembering all the years he came over for meat pie after midnight mass with our mom /mother-in-law, Lorraine. Leonard was a very proud man and especially loved being part of any functions at the Legion. Leonard is one of the few Veterans we have left on Isle Madame and he was always very proud to wear his uniform. He will be greatly missed by his friend and care giver of many years, Lorraine, as well as her grandchildren Tristan and Taigan, whom he treated as his own grandchildren. Rest in Peace Leonard...you are now in a happier place. Aurine and Johnny Richard

Donna,Tye, Bernadine & the entire Marchand Family: Our sincere condolences to all of you ! Always enjoyed a chat with Leonard whenever I met him, during my trips to Arichat. Our Thoughts & Prayers are with you! GOD BLESS!
So sorry to hear of your loss Donna. I look back fondly on memories of you and Elaine, Charlene and Stephen growing up in the St. Agnes School community. The finality of losing part of your foundation is so difficult. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care!
We are very saddened to learn of Leonard's death and remember him with fondness and gratitude for sharing our early years in Arichat when we rented his cherished home and was so kind to us. We became good friends in those years and he was generous and supportive;not a typical "landlord", and always exhibiting a great love for the home lent to us. Our love for Arichat and the joy our sons experianced here derived largely from that. Our condolences to his family and especially to Lorraine.
