Dear Liz and family, So sorry to hear of Red's passing. He will be missed by so many people. He touched us all with his kindness. We'll never forget his smile especially when he saw Matt). Take care of yourself and hope you can come see us some day. From all of us at Green Meadows.
Since I was a teenager Mr. Bowen had just as respect for me as he had for every adult. I really admired that about Mr. Bowen. He was a sensible man to talk to and try to help you solve any issues you had. He was a very respected man in the community. To Liz and the Bowen family, please accept my deepest sympathy Mr. Bowen will be greatly missed.

I first met Red when as a young Constable I arrived in Sydney, NS. He was the comforting voice on the radio keeping us safe. Throughout the years I was fortunate to become re acquainted with him. He left a very positive impression on my generation of police officer in Cape Breton. His stories will be sadly missed. To Red's family, I offer you my heart felt condolence.
