Obituary of Arthur Amedee Bowen

Bowen, Arthur Amedee "Red" 76 - St. Peter's, formerly of Arichat, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2009 at his residence in the Richmond Villa, St. Peter's. Born in Rocky Bay, he was the son of the late Thomas Hubert and Mary Geneva (O'Hearn) Bowen. He is survived by his wife Liz Landry-Bowen, Louisdale; daughters, Jennifer Trites (Mark), Sherry Bowen (Ralph) both of Dartmouth, Noreen Bowen, Halifax; Extended family: Dollene Boudreau (Tony), Hammond Plains, Dorella Boudreau (Dale), Winnipeg; sons, Dean (Donna) Boudreau, Petit De Grat, Darin (Geralyn) Boudreau, Antigonish; sisters, Helen Kehoe, Rocky Bay, & Margaret Powell, Sudbury; brother, William (Rose) Bowen, Rocky Bay; 4 grandchildren, 6 extended family grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Alexandrine Bowen, Clara Myles, Edna Kehoe; brothers, Alphonse, Hillary, Gerald, Sonny. Visitation will be held on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., at the C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat . Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat, Rev. Duaine Devereaux, officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial will take place at a later date in the Star of the Sea Cemetery in Petit De Grat.
