Obituary of Hazel Claire Bouchard

Bouchard, Hazel Claire, 60 - Arichat, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2009 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney with her loving husband, family and friend by her side. Born in Arichat she was a daughter of Georgina (Richard) and her husband Peter Boucher, Arichat and the late Harry Doiron. Hazel loved flowers and plants. She loved decorating her home especially during the Christmas Season. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 39 years, Rene Maurice Bouchard, Arichat; daughter Danielle Sawyer (Jean-Marc), Winnipeg, Manitoba; son, Rene Jr. (Hiroyo), Japan; grandchildren who were her pride and joy and who she dearly loved, Meagan and Sheldon; brother, Wayne (Mary), Alberta; sisters, Margaret Moreau (Paul), Port Hawkesbury, Helen Boudreau, (Joe), Halifax, Brenda Jeffrey (Bobby), Louisdale, Vonnie McPhee (Ken), Saut St. Marie, Ont.. She was predeceased by her brothers Jackie and Christian. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Sunday, September 6th from 6-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday morning at 11 am in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat, with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice/Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton or to the charity of one's choice.
