Obituary of Lillian Mary Marchand

Marchand, Mary Lillian (Lily) - 84, of Arichat, residing with her cousin Jean (Gerard) Boudreau, passed away, on September 16, 2010 at Annapolis Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Sammy and Aline (LeBlanc) Vigneau. Lily was a founding member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 150 Ladies Aux. and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Assumption C.W.L. Lily worked in the Arichat Post Office up until her retirement. She was well known for her many knitted sweaters. She was a firm believer of St. Anne and prayed to her often. She is survived by daughters, Claudette Barnes, Arichat, Lorrie Forgeron, Wilmot son Marcel Arichat; grandchildren Holly Barnes, Arichat, Robin Barnes(Suzanne) Halifax, Meggan Forgeron(Shawn) Guysborough, Gillian Forgeron(Ceilidh), Wolfville, Josh Boudreau B.C.; sister, Pat Boudreau, Arichat; sister-in-law Shirley Vigneau, Addington Forks, Antigonish. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Marchand, brother Aurel, son in law Raymond Forgeron and brother- in-law Harold Boudreau. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, from 7-9 pm in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. A memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat on Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 am with Rev. Duaine Devereaux officiating. No flowers please by request of the family.
