Obituary of James Roderick LeJeune

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of James Roderick "Roddie" LeJeune - 84, of West Arichat, that occurred at his home in West Arichat on February 17, 2011. Born in West Arichat, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Pelham) LeJeune. He was a member of the New Horizons Senior's Club in Arichat. He is survived by his daughter, Cathie Dorey, (Elias), West Arichat; sons, Ronald (Marilyn), Placentia, NL; John (Edna), West Arichat; grandchildren, Chuck (Denise), West Arichat; Holly (Steve), Halifax; Sharon (Brian), Sydney Mines; Nadine Dorey, Halifax; Suzanne (Robin), Halifax; Chloe, NL; Stephanie, West Arichat; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Will, Kirkland, Kailey, Kailey, Alex, Raylee and Eric; also surviving is his companion of 16 years, Irene Richard. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred Landry; sister, Rita Euler and brother Bernard. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 - 9pm and on Monday from 2 - 9pm both in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held Tuesday morning at 11am in the Immaculate Conception Church, West Arichat with Rev Duaine Devereaux officiating. Burial in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the SPCA or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
