More times than not; he could make you laugh so hard you'd cry. His sense of humour was so simple yet it could trip people up or catch them off guard. Once such example was: During a visit to dad's former cottage; there were these two people; a guy & girl just returning from swimming in the lake. Sandy was sitting on the veranda; cheerful grin on his face and all of a sudden he calls out to them: "Was the water wet?" Stunned, they stopped to think for the answer. Sandy, still grinning, waiting until finally; it dawns on them how he played with them, he laughs and funnily enough, so did they. Perhaps that was his greatest gift, when it came to humour; he could make you laugh at yourself and make you feel alright about it afterwards. Thank Goodness for memories like these, I certainly do. "I will miss you Uncle Sandy, hopefully you and Grampa are having a good laugh somewhere together." Teresa and I send our love, and deepest condolences to Wanda, Kids and the rest of the Family.
