Hello folks.... The first word that comes to mind is "respect". Raymond was the first of the people that I remember having a profound sense of respect for.. or fear of. I so respected Raymond when I was a young student, and even later as a parent to a friend, Stanley. Perhaps it was the strap folded up in the sleeve of his top coat? Perhaps it was that the school seemed to be a safe place for me to be because of him? Perhaps it was because he was dedicated in his work? Perhaps it was the work he done in the community? It really does not matter. "Respect" still fitted well for me then and again today. At the end of the day he has left this earth having taught important lessons to the likes of me. For this I am thankful and offer to you all my sincere thoughts as you celebrate a life lived well.. Lester
Our deepest condolence to the families, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.RIP Raymond

Our heartfelt condolences goes out to Dorothy and family at Raymond's passing. I am glad that on our last visit to Louisdale I was able to introduce Wanda to him when we met him and had a nice conversation as we walked down the new to us sidewalk of Louisdale...ha,ha. As one of his former students I always admired his ability to go from teacher/principal to ordinary everyday guy when away from the school. Some of the lessons and discipline he instilled in us/me as students have stayed with me to this day. God bless everyone of Raymond's family and his many friends as they remember a great man.
