Condolences
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend,
he referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beinning to the end;
He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following dates with tears,
but he said what mattered most
was "The Dash" between the years;
For that "Dash" represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth,
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth;
For it matters not how much we own
the cars - the house - the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our "Dash";
So think about this long and hard
are there things you'd like to change,
for you never know who much time is left
that still can be rearranged;
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what is true and real,
And always try to understand
the way that others feel;
And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more,
And love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before;
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special "Dash"
might only last a while;
So when your Eulogy is being read
with your life's actions to rehash,
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your "Dash"
Sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. It should be very satisfying to know that she had such a long and productive life. I know she loved music and will now be with her husband to enjoy it together. My sympathies to you and your family. Gail
Sorry for the loss of your Mom.I wish I could have been there but our son and his wife had a baby that morning. You Mom will be happy reunited with your dad.God bless you and your family.
We are sending our deepest sympathy to you ,Rose and Shirley ...and to your families. I have such fond memories of Mae (and Amos ). Their door was always open and visitors were more than welcome to come in for a "cup of tea". As a friend of Rose ,I spent many hours in the Thibeau household .NEVER did I hear a cross word from Mae(no matter how out- of- hand Rose & I were ), and I'll never forget her hearty laugh . She was a very special lady ,and she will be missed by all of you ..and all of us who were fortunate enough to know her. RIP Mae !
TO Shirley and Rose and their families we are sure feeling for all of you tonight and wish we were there to pass our condolences in person,we loved your mom a lot and we are going to miss visiting her our next trip to Halifax.,
