Obituary of Eva Mae Thibeau

Thibeau, Eva Mae, 96 - Halifax, formerly of River Bourgeois, passed way at her residence at the Northwood Centre in Halifax on May 22, 2011. Born in River Bourgeois, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Laura Burke. Mae had many years of enjoyment with family and friends especially her friends from Acadia Square Lodge, where she lived for 15 years and her friends now at Northwood Manor. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, knitting and many trips to Florida. Mae will be sadly missed by daughters, Shirley (Arthur Pettipas), Halifax and Rose (Thomas Scott), Dartmouth; brother, Bob, (Ruth), Brandford, ON; six grandchildren, Wanda, Cheryl, Marie, Blair, Starrla and Lisa; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Amos Thibeau; brothers, Howard, Clarence, Gerald, George and sister Helen. Visitation will be held in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home in River Bourgeois on Thursday, May 26 2001 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Mae, will be held Friday morning, May 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, River Bourgeois, with Rev Everett MacDow officiating. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, River Bourgeois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Tara Lynn Community Centre in River Bourgeois. The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and doctors and staff at the Northwood Centre for the dedicated care that was given to Mae while she was a resident there.
