Obituary of John Louis Gaudet

GAUDET, John Louis – 83, West Arichat

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of John Louis Gaudet of Janvrin’s Island who passed away at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston on January 18, 2019. Born in Janvrin’s Island, he was the son of the late Peter and Gladys (George) Gaudet. John is survived by his loving wife Joyce Lorraine DeRoach; daughters Sheila Hill (Billy), Janvrin’s Island, Lisa McNamara (Mike), Port Hawkesbury; son John (Della), Janvrin’s Island; stepchildren Sharon Dort (Jerry), Arichat, Sheldon DeRoach (Gwenn), Dartmouth, Shawn DeRoach (Yamile), Columbia; grandchildren BJ, Farrah, Willow, Savannah, Jordan, Madison, Garrison, Ainslee; step grandchildren Paul, Kelly, Abbey, Cody, Ryan, MacKalen, Chelsea; great grandchildren Amarachi, Chiamaka, Charlotte, Sophie, Corbin; step great grandchildren Samantha, Cassandra, Mia, William; brother Godfrey (Mathilda) and brother-in-law Donald Bellefontaine, both of Janvrin’s Island. There will be no visitation per request. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat with Rev. Antolin Asor presiding. Burial will take place in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, West Arichat at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund, West Arichat or to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
