Martell, Mary Alma, Little Anse – 92 It is with broken hearts, that we, the family of Mary Alma Martell, announce her passing on March 27, 2021 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish with her loving family at her side. Born in Little Anse on December 31, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Mary Evangeline “Minnie” (Boudreau) Samson. Mom/Mémé was an exceptional lady with a heart of gold. She was the matriarch of our family and was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Her incredible smile and loving nature was contagious. No matter what, her door and her heart were open to all. When she wasn’t busy cooking a big meal, she could be found having witty conversations and making others laugh over a game of Bingo, while playing cards or on one of her many shopping trips to Port Hawkesbury. Her faith in God and the compassion that she had for others was limitless and has left many mourning her loss. She is survived by her daughters, Verona (Gerald), Rose Marie (Alexander), both of Arichat; sons, Lloyd (Anne), Little Anse; Donald Blair (Sheila), Arichat; Son’s In-law, John and Wilfred; Sister In-law, Vivian; Grandchildren, Cory (Rosa), Vanessa (Steve), Jason (Jennifer), Ashley (Johnny), Chris (Jessica), Mitchel (Cassandra), Noreen (Tyler), Tracy (Jason), Stephanie (Kyle), Teagan. Extended family; Timmy, Dougie (Terry), Hope (Edwin), Jarrod (Cassandra), Morgan (Carla), Kealie, Cooper, Morgan, Kailey, Keithan, Noah, Haiden, Meiha as well as many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
