Condolences
Sympathy to all Lillian's family. In pre-Covid times when I used to visit PH Nursing Home I would often see her wheeling her friends in the wheelchair until their passing. I first met Lillian with Miriam, her sister-in-law, who was also my sister-in-law. Lillian had a beautiful smile and was a lovely, positive lady who was a joy to visit. I'm a bit late with condolences but just saw her obituary.
Q: What will you never forget about Lillian Ethel?
A: Dear Faye and family
I remember going to visit Aunt Mildred and your Mom visiting as well. She was always so quiet and enjoyed listening to our stories. These stories were always fun trips down memory lane. I hadn’t seen her for a long time but thought of her often in the years since. Deepest condolences to all.
Sincerely Judy ( Dilny) Sampson
My condolences to Lillian’s family . She was a caring and loving lady that I was lucky to have met . RIP❤️
Faye and Family: I was so sad to hear that your Mom had recently passed away. I think of her often and have wonderful memories of her many visits to our house before and after Mom moved to Halifax. She was always the first visitor when mom and I would come home during the summer and she would catch us up on all the latest news. She was a very social lady who lived life to the fullest and I know that she will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Darryl and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to all her family and friends at this very difficult time. Rest in peace Lillian. You will always be in our memories.
Faye and family,
My condolences on the loss of your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
My mom, Eleanor McDonald, was heartbroken when I gave her the sad news of Lillian's passing. She said that Lillian had been on her mind all week for some reason she couldn't explain. They were born the same year and grew up as close friends and remained close. We took Mom to visit Lillian and Jeanette in Port Hawkesbury on route from Fredericton to Sydney one of the last visits Mom made back to Cape Breton. I remember Lillian as being so full of life and energy with a great smile and a big heart. Lillian and Mom were so happy to see each other and catch up. We are keeping Lillian and the family in our thoughts and prayers. She will be missed. Our deepest condolences. May she rest in peace.

To Faye and Family:
We were saddened to hear of Lillian's recent passing. She was a longtime friend to Harold and I. My friendship with her dates back to my early childhood. My family and I have always admired the care and concern she extended to others. When Lil lived in Poulamon, Harold and I would appreciate her visits to our house and a nice chat over sweets and tea. After moving to Port Hawkesbury, Lil continued to keep in touch with me, even checking in on me after Harold's passing last year. We will deeply miss her. She was such a lovely, warm-hearted woman. May she rest in peace.

Lillian, a big thank for your participation in those fun evenings playing poker with you, Jeanette, Aunt Evelyn and Bob. I learned playing poker because of you.
So sorry to hear of Lillian’s passing. She was a very kind and sweet lady. My sincere condolences. Rest in peace Lillian.
Q: How did you meet Lillian Ethel?
A: Lillian Bona was my aunt. My dad Francis was her older brother. We visited when we could and always enjoyed a cup of tea and her cookies. Yummy. May God Bless
My great aunt Lillian was so kind and caring. She always had a mischievous smile and it gives me great comfort to know that she has been reunited with my grandmother and no doubt they are already up to no good. She was a social butterfly and I admired her ability to enjoy the simple things in life. I wish I had lived closer so that I could have joined my mom during her many visits to see her Aunt Lillian. I know my mom will miss her terribly as will the many people who loved her. Rest in peace Lillian and give Meme a big hug for me. Love, Gina

To Faye ,David and family
Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers for the loss of your mom and grandmother. She was a beautiful person inside and out I will miss visiting her when I went down to Cape Breton both at home in Poulamon as well as the nursing home in Port Hawkesbury.RIP Lillian
Sincerest condolences to Faye and the family. Aunt Lillian was a wonderful human being full of love and innocence. Aunt Lillian and my mother besides being the best of friends made life in Poulamon a haven of love and humour for Nora, Edward and me. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Aunt Lillian cherished her time with her family. My earliest memories of her centered around food. Her desserts were mouth watering and for her little nephew they begged for seconds. She lived her life as a caring person full of giving and never asking for anything in return. To be in her presence was to feel save and cared for. I will greatly miss my wonderful aunt and even though we have been miles apart for many years she has always been in my heart and will forever remain so.
